Educational Expo

At the State Fair we believe in bringing the best of Virginia together to nurture, preserve and celebrate the best of Virginia's culture- past, present and future. We cannot do that without supporting the younger and future generations. We believe in creating opportunities, cultivating passion, and empowering youth to create and explore.

Our mission of the Ed Expo is to increase agricultural and natural resource awareness, interest and education in Virginia through programs, exhibitions and competitions integral to the operation of the State Fair of Virginia. Whether you are a parent, teacher, or partner, we are here to work with you.

Registration coming on August 1.

You must register or reserve your tickets by Friday, September 15.

The Ed Expo Registration is specifically for school groups.
Please note there are two options on Etix: Register or Reserve.
Wristbands are for the unlimited ride wristband and do not include admission.

• FCCLA: Thursday, September 28
• HOSA-Future Health Professionals: Friday, September, 29
  ** These days are scheduled in coordination with FFA, SkillsUSA, DECA, FCCLA, and HOSA faculty and may require additional registration with the organization.

• Pre-K groups are welcome to attend our Ed Expo. Children 4 and under are free on any day at the State Fair. As such, there is not a free teacher ticket with Pre-K groups. Free teacher tickets are only eligible for paying school groups.

• Students = $8
• Unlimited Ride Wristbands for Students (good for one day) = $23 OR buy a reloadable ride card with ride credits at the fair
