The 24th annual State Fair of Virginia Wine Competition promotes and showcases a vibrant and important element of Virginia agriculture. The competition took place June 12, 2017.
All proceeds from the competition benefit the State Fair of Virginia Scholarship Program, which offers $70,000 in annual scholarships for student competitors’ higher education.
Gold and silver ribbons are awarded in all categories at the judges’ discretion. Winning wines will be on display during the State Fair, which will run Sept. 29 through Oct. 8 at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.
There will be an additional award for the most ribbons awarded to a single winery.
All wines of any vintage within the categories below and produced in wineries within Virginia may be entered.
